In July

July is one of those months that I cherish and that I despise.
So much so, I even wrote a song about it.

On the one hand, it's 90% of the time, my slowest month of the year in terms of work, so I get some much needed downtime,.
One would think, after 15 some odd years of suffering through Julys past, that I would plan some type of vacation,. Hang out with family in Delaware, go hiking, camping, do SOMETHING! And yet, here I am, in NYC with a stomach bug watching re-runs of "6 Feet Under", which I don't know if you know,.. probably isn't the type of show one should watch back to back.
And so is life.

That being said, It's been a crazy busy year. MONOLisa is now in Manhattan's Upper West Side. We moved in on April 1st, and renovations are complete.
I am still working on the acoustic CD, it's coming this Fall
And now that the studio is starting to move forward, I have a few collaborative projects that were in the works, needing to be rekindled. It's exciting, and once I can eat solid food again, I think things will be A-OK. LOL
Another few days perhaps.
The body has a way of slowing you down when it's needed. Sometimes it's subtle, sometimes it's "BOOM, ...bitch! Sit DOWN"
LOL
And so, Here am I, sitting down, drinking a lovely apple/carrot/cucumber/ginger concoction,...
feeling a cool breeze from the window, looking out to the sunshiny hustle and bustling street.

Till next time!

:)
