It's a cool constant 70 degrees and sadly, It's all over.
Rest, relaxation, peace and quiet, visits with friends and family.
And in the space between visits, I meant to do all sorts of things..
finish up some songs, clean out my lyric books, balance my check book..
I didn't get much done, but it's OK, I needed the break.
It's been a whirlwind since March and even though I'm not very good with having off time, I kinda needed it.
I'm feeling rather refreshed and content. Ready for the next avalanche.
Lots of stuff on the horizon, more films, more scores, more EPs and LPs,. But sometimes 10 days of doing nothing and drooling in front of a 50" screen can be just as productive.
I almost killed the dog. that was fun. I couldn't find my mom's coffee grinder, and all I had was the whole bean coffee I brought with me. Pity.
I tried a few different appliances but none did the job. I'm car-less in DE but fortunately there's a shopping area not too far away. About a 3 minute drive. I remembered it not being too far of a walk, and it's not, 1.8 miles.not too shabby,. so I took the dog with me. He's a small furry thing, he enjoyed the first half, not so much the second. He was a trooper though. We made it back to the house and the first thing he did was yack. lovely. Then he inhaled a bowl of water and plopped down on the kitchen floor. He recovered pretty quickly, but for about 10 minutes I was worried. note to self: no more long walks for the dog.
Truthfully, that was the most adventurous part of my vacation. As it should be.
On another note, I finally got to find out what all the hub bub was about re: The Newsroom. Good show. I'll wait for Netflix.
and there you have it.
see you back in Gotham!
